Job Description:

About the JobMiNDFUL is regarded as the premier medical cannabis grower and operator of dispensaries in Colorado.​ We are rapidly expanding our operations and are seeking a Junior Account based in Denver, CO.​
The Junior Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support corporate decision-making and assist in daily accounting activities.​  This position will focus on accounting duties, as well as reporting, analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.​  The successful candidate will be able to convert data to information that will drive behavior, facilitate the best business decisions, and improve operating results.​  This is a highly visible position that requires developing and maintaining positive relationships across the entire organization.​
 
The position must hold a Colorado Key MED license or be able to obtain one.​
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes and reports on key drivers of division and company performance, including monthly             and quarterly reporting and variance analysis.​
Assists in preparation, analysis, and presentation of budgets and forecasts.​
Analyzes financial and operational data, draws conclusions and presents recommendations on decisions and actions.​
Performs what-if analysis on new business opportunities /​ acquisitions as well the financial impact of changes on existing business.​
Drive operational efficiencies, including cost reductions and inventory management controls by partnering with Management.​
Cash Counting.​
Cash Distribution both in house and delivering of payments.​
Data Entry.​
Support with processes already in place i.​e.​ cross training (excise tax, sales tax, daily reconciliations and purchase orders).​
Ability to support investor activity.​ 
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Special projects as requested.​
Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.​ 
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct reports.​

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.​
Ability to synthesize complex or disparate information and to relate financial and other business data to expected outcomes.​
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to independently identify and resolve issues.​
High-level computer skills, including a demonstrated ability to use ERP systems, reporting systems, and proficiency in financial modeling.​  Exceptional Excel skills.​
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.​
Strong written and oral communications skills; well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to formulate recommendations regarding challenges, methods and solutions; ability to communicate clearly in both positive and negative situations.​
Attention to detail and accuracy.​

Associates degree required; preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics.​
Minimum of two years relevant experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis.​

Must comply with MED guidelines.​ 
Physical Requirements
Remain in the sitting position for periods of time.​
Frequent speaking, hearing, reaching, bending, use of hands/​fingers, handling or feeling objects and tools and close vision.​
Occasional kneeling, crouching and crawling.​
Occasionally lift and/​or move up to twenty (20) pounds.​ 
Work Environment
May include being in an open (shared) workspace.​
Moderate noise level similar to a typical office environment.​
